    Description

    19th Century Buffet & Crampon B Clarinet. Instrument is playable as found and has a very rich, almost fruity tone. It will certainly need some additional minor adjustment, a new cork at the top joint and possibly a new pad or two, but overall this wonderful old timer is in amazing condition, considering that it was snatched from the claws of someone who was about to turn it into a table lamp! There are no cracks or visible repairs. All the keys work smoothly and all the springs are present and accounted for. The original barrel was missing but for testing I found an age appropriate, good fitting replacement (see photo.) I don’t know the exact model but the serial number dates to 1898. I do not have a case for it, sorry. Shipped carefully packed with USPS Priority Mail.
