This is a great clarinet that is suitable for all players of all levels.
For the beginner player, this clarinet can last throughout high school and the college years and beyond.
The composite body is resistant to cracks and weather changes. I believe it is a mixture of plastic and hard rubber.
It is a very light clarinet, but has a full big sound that rivals some of the best clarinets made of wood.
This clarinet is 100% playable as-is!
While the pads are the original black synthetic Valentino pads, most of them seem just fine. You may need to change a few of them, but the clarinet plays and sounds great as-is.
All joints fit together fine.
There are no leaks, and the clarinet plays easily from low E to the altissimo range.
The mouthpiece is unmarked, I believe it to be the original mouthpiece, but I'm not sure. Ligature and cap included.
Also included is an additional "upgraded" barrel, which is an option when purchasing. It is a cocobolo wood barrel made by Backun and is labeled 66mm.
Clarinet also has an adjustable thumbrest and strap hook. No strap included.
