Rare Vito Stubbins Clarinet Made in USA Bb Soprano

Here's a very rare and beautiful American made Vito 'Stubbins' clarinet. The Stubbins mechanism was patented by Professor Stubbins in order to make playing the throat Bb less stuffy. It does so by adding an extra tone hole so that the register key and the Bb are separate. The mechanism reduces stuffiness successfully and it looks great too. It's easy to maintain and service and doesn't require learning any extra fingerings.
This particular clarinet is in good condition. The keys are in great condition and have no tarnish. The clarinet will need some adjustment and a few new pads as well. No mouthpiece is included. It comes with the case but as you can see from the pictures, the case handle is broken. There are no stuck keys or any major damage, the clarinet is in good condition for its age and it just needs some love from a tech or someone who knows how to do basic clarinet maintenance.
This is nice piece of clarinet history and would be a great addition to any collection. It is made from plastic so no need to worry about random cracks like wooden clarinets!
