Description
This is not only a fine sounding clarinet, it's beautifully built with well chosen and seasoned wood that is also used for the Selmer professional model, the Centered Tone. And, the keywork
is exceptionally beautiful and strong. Again, just like in the professional model.
It plays beautifully; emitting a dark, warm sound. A Selmer Signet was suitable for me to play in 1957 and later until I got a professional Selmer Centered Tone clarinet. Selmer was chosen by Benny Goodman when a new professional model was needed.
So, a student could use this horn through middle and high school and even into college.
When you study the photos, you will notice that the bell and barrel, of this particular horn appear to be a reddish brown. In fact they are black with these two pieces having brown highlights. With the light and flash
they morphed into brown in the photo.
Actually, currently, clarinetists are spending big dollars on very similar barrels and bells to dress up their horns.
This clarinet is priced at 7.50. As usual, offers are welcomed.
