Used Bundy 577 Clarinet with New Vandoren B40 Mouthpiece
Used Bundy 577 Clarinet in good condition.
Surface scratches and some discoloration on metal parts typical of its age. Plating is good and instrument is mechanically sound. On the lower tendon I had a chip repaired by a music repairshop, and the repair has held (see pictures). Even before the repair, the clarinet assembled and played fine. The instrument does play, but I haven’t had it in the shop for some time, so expect to get an adjustment before serious use.
This is an old clarinet (not sure of age—SN
1387242— perhaps 1966?
), but it is a sturdy clarinet and far better than those cheap Chinese clarinets you see for sale everywhere. This was the first clarinet I bought used as an adult learner and served me well before I upgraded.
Also included is a new Vandoren B40 lyre mouthpiece, which I bought on a whim and have never used, a new cleaning cloth, an almost complete box of never used reeds (JUNO strength 2.0—not pictured), and a used Protec case in good condition with a nice side storage compartment.
This clarinet should get a student through elementary and middle school at which point the student will likely have outgrown it (but keep it for marching band!)
